Growing up in Haiti, where basic necessities were hard to access, technology felt out of reach. But when early mobile phones arrived, they sparked a curiosity that changed my life. After months of sacrifice, my mother bought me my first cellphone a moment that ignited my passion for understanding and repairing technology. Those early experiences taught me resilience, creativity, and the power of connection.

Following the 2010 earthquake, an opportunity with Samaritan’s Purse opened the door for me to come to the United States, learn English, and pursue higher education. Despite having no programming background, I pushed through the challenges, earned a foundation in Computer Information Systems, and even published my first Android game.
